At-home lifestyle newborn sessions are about the connection and love that couples already have for their new addition. I love when family pets can join in too. In comparison to the studio newborn sessions, lifestyle newborn portraits are a breath of fresh air. It’s focused on capturing candid moments in an artful way and creating heirlooms for your new family to treasure.

One of my favorite parts of being a Johnson City newborn photographer is getting to know my couples. Throughout their engagement and wedding I get to know them as a couple, celebrate with their families and document the day that starts their own marriage. Being part of their stories is a huge honor! I especially love seeing my couples love stories turn into families and celebrate with newborn photography. I enjoy it more than anything, and I’m so thankful this is my full-time job.

Now that more of my couples are starting their own families, I’m finding so much joy in capturing this new season of life. Over the past year I’ve slowly added maternity sessions, family sessions and my new favorite – lifestyle newborn sessions! I didn’t quite realize just how much I would love catching up with my couples and taking some of the sweetest moments imaginable. Just look at those little toes!

This particular lifestyle Johnson City newborn session was for Grace Ann and Sam’s little boy, Hank. Hank was simply too cute, and he loved to snuggle and sleep for the entire session. It was adorable! Of course, his big fur sibling had to be part of the photos too. They are best friends already, I can tell!
