Ben knew he wanted to marry Paula the very first time they met. Actually, he proposed to her while she was waiting tables at the little BBQ restaurant he was eating at with friends. She politely declined at the time, but their meet cute led them to a worldwide romance and eventually to their wedding day at Santillane Mansion.
Paula picked out her beaded, a-line wedding gown from the local Church Street Bridal shop in Lynchburg, Virginia. She wore simple gold flats and gorgeous earrings her mother picked out for the occasion. Her lovely wedding bouquet was filled with carnations, roses, and peonies. Ben wore a light grey suit with a navy, polka dotted bow tie picked out by his bride-to-be.
They said their vows under a wildflower filled arbor with a stunning view as their backdrop. A small quartet of string musicians serenaded them throughout the ceremony, which was a romantic surprise! For their reception, Ben and Paula picked a local Indian restaurant to cater the event. The table decor had an almost Indian vibe as well, with deep maroon and purple accents with intricate designs. Before the evening ended they toasted over a buttercream cake made my a family friend.
