Abingdon Creeper Trail Engagement Photos

The forecast on the day of Joseph & Kristin’s Creeper Trail engagement session looked absolutely dreadful. A hurricane had come through the area several days before causing us to reschedule once already, so we had to work with what we had available. Typically rain is quite daunting, but not with these two!

We fought off several other couples and a bus full of elderly theater go-ers vying for the some photos in front of the iconic gazebo at the Martha Washington Inn and managed captured a bit of the lovely weather before the rain. We then trekked to the Creeper Trail engagement where we were promptly captured in a violent downpour and ran to this cute little welcome center where we took a good majority of their photos. It finally cleared up long enough for us to explore the trail and grab some wonderfully fall photos!

The Creeper Trail in Abingdon, Virginia is always a great spot for visiting! It’s truly a hub in Downtown Abingdon and connects to some of the most gorgeous spots in the town. There is a long trail for biking and running, which is where most couples prefer to start their engagement sessions before heading into the lively Downtown Abingdon area for golden hour portraits at the Martha Washington Inn.
