Captivating Abingdon Wedding at Middle Fork Barn in Virginia

I made my way to the beautiful Middle Fork Barn for Arynn & Hunter’s Abingdon wedding. They had such classic style and their sweet, special moments throughout the day didn’t leave many dry eyes in sight!

Arynn and Hunter’s love story started off many years ago. They were at a high school soccer game with a group of mutual friends when one of Arynn’s friends decided the two would be a good match. The two immediately hit it off, but went their separate ways once Hunter went to college. Needless to say, the story didn’t end there!

Ten years and several social media platforms later, they had managed to rekindle their romance. After running into each other at the local Rhythm & Roots festival in Bristol they reconnected and dated long distance before eventually finding themselves in the same city. Eventually they returned to that same music festival where Hunter proposed to Arynn underneath the bright lights of the historic Bristol sign.

Fast forward to their Abingdon wedding day. The girls got ready at the new Bristol Hotel, which has an absolutely stunning bridal suite! As soon as I walked in I realized how much fun the day was going to be, because it was an absolute party from the start! The girls had champagne in hand, were laughing endlessly, and their hair and makeup was going perfectly well and on time! They then had a special first look with the lush green landscape as their backdrop. Seeing Hunter’s adoring face when he first took in Arynn in her wedding gown was precious. I always feel so lucky to be a fly on the wall for such special moments!

They made their commitment to each other at Christ the King Catholic Church in Abingdon, Virginia. Afterwards the party went back to Middle Fork Barn, which had been transformed into a rustic dream. There were stunning floral arrangements by the ever-talented Aunt Willie’s Wildflowers. It was classy, timeless and such a perfect color palette for their Abingdon wedding. It started to rain as guests were seated but they didn’t even care. Their friends and family were SO excited to celebrate them! It was so evident how much their friends adore this couple and the impact they’ve had on so many!

The DJ kept the dance floor packed and brought so much energy to the dance floor! Even though it kept raining, nothing could stop the celebration, and they all danced all night long in the pouring rain! I truly love getting to photograph Abingdon weddings at Middle Fork Barn and I can’t wait to return soon!
