The Best Bridal Shop in Kingsport, Tennessee | Annie’s Room

Whoever said “choose a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life,” definitely lied! I love my job and I work HARD. Every time I finish up a wedding or wrap up a shoot, I have so many people messaging to say how lucky I am to pursue my passion for photography as my career. I always feel this sense of guilt because I truly am so lucky to have the job of my dreams. That being said, it is hard work. After every session, styled shoot, or wedding only half of the work is done!

It’s not very often that I get time to capture some wedding photography behind the scenes, so I thought I would share a recent editorial with you all! This shoot has been featured by a couple different wedding blogs including, A Princess Inspired.

For this shoot I collaborated with the best Bridal Shop in Kingsport, Annie’s Room, to feature their newest collection of gowns from Wilderly Bride. We spent several months planning and waiting for the perfect time to pull everything together! I always recommend Annie’s Room to my brides as the best bridal shop in Kingsport and I love it when we get the chance to work our magic together! I chose one of my all time favorite wedding venues, The Side Porch, for the shoot because I just love how elegant bridal portraits are with the white washed walls in the barn! Plus they truly have thought of everything you could possibly need and it’s such a whimsical spot for a wedding!

Of course I had to have Chelsea, from Blossom and Bloom, provide the florals for the occasion and help me put the finishing touches on my wedding invitation suite flat lays.

I always love to see wedding photography behind the scenes photos. It’s so fascinating to me to see what’s going on around me as I’m shooting and then the result from behind the lens!

We had Lauren Fleenor from J. Christene Aveda Salon doing the updos for the bridal models and Whitney Jones was our makeup artist. #DreamTeam Lauren spent over an hour on each of the girls’ hair and Whitney was hard at work for over forty-five minutes on each of the models pulling together the bohemian looks.

As we waited on hair and makeup to wrap up, Chelsea and I spent about an hour styling several different invitation suite setups. It’s always good to get creative juices flowing and let out some of the nervous energy prior to a big shoot! Although, we were definitely sweating in the heat outside–it was over 80 degrees as we were working our magic!

And, occasionally, I do hop in FRONT of the camera! This gorgeous shot was taken by my good friend Danni from Apple Ridge Photography. She came along to join in all the fun and help provide some much needed moral support as we tackled this five hour endeavor with the best bridal shop in Kingsport! I definitely didn’t remain this cute throughout the shoot.
