1. Couple Pictures in Front of the Industrial Brick
One of the biggest attractions for couples hiring The Cloth Mill is all that beautiful, historic exposed brick. Better still, it offers a natural background for all your couple and wedding party photos that keeps the focus on you, without losing the charm of the venue.
2. Entire Venue Shots
The Cloth Mill at Eno River has a grand staircase with a balcony area at the top, which is the perfect place for your photographer to get some covert shots of the entire venue while everyone is eating or making moves on the dance floor. While carefully posed shots are always needed on your shot list, there’s nothing like capturing those little, magic moments of all your loved ones together.
3. Staircase Photos
While we’re talking about their staircase and balcony, let’s talk couple’s photos! Why not sit on the stairs together for some intimate, post-ceremony photos, or descend the stairs on opposite sides, coming together to meet in the middle? There are so many opportunities here – be sure not to miss them!
4. Couple Walking Beneath the String Lights
The Cloth Mill at Eno River has a wide, open space ideal for dancing, and beside it, a more intimate area divided by the original wood beams, often used for the dining area. You could place the cake table at the bottom of the grand staircase on the platform and cut the cake there, or place the table in front of one of their grand, cathedral-like windows.

Outside in the courtyard, The Cloth Mill at Eno River has an area laid to lawn, and beside it, a beautiful pergola that matches the wood beams inside. This is the perfect place to hold your ceremony, set up a bar, or simply capture those memorable moments as a couple. Consider draping flowers over it for a natural, secret-garden feel! The venue has installed super cute swings in the pergola especially for newlywed portraits!
7. Getting Ready in the Gorgeous Dressing Rooms
The Cloth Mill has two large dressing room spaces, perfect for just the wedding couple, or all the wedding party. With the same beautiful bare brick as the rest of the venue and gentle, industrial touches, a few shots of your final moments of preparation before heading out to the ceremony are something you must add to your shot list. The bridal suite has a skylight which adds lovely natural light to the space as well as a gorgeous mirror for bridal portraits!
