Stunning Fall Jewish Wedding at Mountain Laurel Farm
It was such a breathtaking drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains of East Tennessee as I headed to Josh & Mollie’s fall wedding at Mountain Laurel Farm. Even as I drove the windy roads to their cute cabin cottages in Mountain City I knew I was in for a marvelous day!
Josh proposed to Mollie on a deserted hiking trail deep in the Appalachian Mountains almost two years before they tied the knot! They enjoyed being engaged and savored the Jewish wedding planning process thoroughly before saying their “I dos” at the charming Mountain Laurel Farm. (It’s a repurposed boarding school that now serves as an Airbnb and wedding venue!) Mollie found her stunning gown at New York City Bride & Groom of Raleigh and adorned her look with fresh florals from Sheybrey Florist and Home Design.
Intimate Jewish weddings are always so fun to be apart of because it feels like a party from start to finish! The couple chose for each of their family members to have their own little retreat at Brookside Mountain Cottages, which made the ketubah signing extremely convenient! The Rabbi corralled us all into a cabin where the couple committed themselves to each other in writing. It was such a lovely thing to witness!
The official Jewish wedding ceremony and the celebrations afterward occurred just down the road at the gorgeous Mountain Laurel Farm. They were surrounded by just their closest family and friends, which meant they were showered with so much love. Josh and Mollie said their vows to each other with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background.
Cocktail hour immediately followed and it never really ended! Everyone had such a great time sipping on delightful concoctions from Wicked Weed Brewery and feasting on the simply delicious food from Earthworks. I was completely in awe at the truly remarkable cake made by the Mollie’s sister-in-law, Kristine. It was actually FEATURED in Southern Bride Magazine!
After everyone had their fair share of food and sweets, a variety of toasts to the newlyweds took place, and of course lots of laughter! It was one of my favorite Jewish weddings to-date and I am excited to share a few of my favorite photos from Mountain Laurel Farm with you all below!
