Stunning Summertime Family Portraits by Knoxville Family Photographer

One of my favorite things about being a Knoxville family photographer is getting to create a connection with each of my clients that long outlives their wedding day! I was so fortunate to be a part of Chris and Judy’s wedding and capture them committing their lives to each other four years ago. The best part? We went to Denver, Colorado to do it! So, when they got in touch and said they wanted to get back together for family photos in Knoxville, Tennessee–we made it work!

It’s typically quite hard to get everyone to “match” for family photos without making it look too overdone, but this group definitely nailed it! They stuck with neutral colors and it made for some lovely updated images. The “kids” have definitely grown these last four years and the oldest is graduating from high school already!!

The entire family came down to Knoxville to visit Jay, the patriarch of the clan, for Father’s day and decided to surprise him with a Knoxville family photographer for a fun family session at his lake house! I was so excited to reunite with the newest member of the group, Jay’s four legged friend Knox! The adorable Australian Shepard puppy was so lively and made his way all over the property during our session. I always enjoy having fur babies join in on family photo sessions–after all, they ARE part of the family!

I am so thrilled that I got to catch up with everyone and capture some special moments for this lively family! I truly hope it’s not another four years before we can reunite for another session, but in the meantime I’ll be smiling at the memory of our session in Knoxville!
