Hello, it’s me, again! And I’m here to introduce you to Amber Justine Events, an incredibly talented wedding planning team based in the Virginia Beach area.
Getting to work with Amber and her talented team is always such a pleasure! I truly love getting to see their wedding day magic and watch as they create such wonderful representations of their couples’ wedding day visions!
I recently worked with Amber Justine Events on a fun project at the Perry Belmont House in Washington D.C., and couldn’t help but connect with her! Amber has such a fun personality and calming demeanor, which is PERFECT for wedding days!
She has been in the wedding industry since 2019 and started her own Virginia Beach wedding planner team in 2020. Since then, they’ve rapidly expanded to the force they are today!
I always love to provide my couple with recommendations for the best of the best when it comes to their wedding day, so I absolutely knew I needed to chat with Amber Justine Events for you all! Today we’re going to get the inside scoop straight from Amber herself!
Let’s talk about you and your team at Amber Justine Events! What are a few personal things you’d like to share with potential clients?
I’m what I like to call a “Type A Creative”: a lover of logistics with a flair for design and a dash of PR training. When I’m not wedding planning, I’m hanging out with my husband, two kids, and our dog around Virginia Beach.
Like most of our couples, my main “hobby” is going out and living life at restaurants, events, and other community activities. I like hot coffee during all seasons, anything that includes cheese, and a whiskey on the rocks. I’ve traveled around the United States extensively and keep going back to the Florida Keys any chance that I get!
What do you love most about your job as a Virginia Beach wedding planner?
The wedding day itself! Wedding planning is an intricate puzzle, so it’s a joy to watch it all come together on the day and see the couple enjoy all that hard work. Plus, I’m such an extraverted person that it’s a treat to constantly get to meet and work alongside new couples and vendors.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
If time allows (first look required!), we love a reception sneak peek for the couple. Otherwise, that moment right before the walk down the aisle is the most sentimental and emotionally beautiful.
What’s one “must have” piece of advice you’d give to couples starting the wedding planning process?
Wedding content online is overwhelming, so limit yourself and get off the endless loop of (usually incorrect) TikTok or Instagram ideas and advice. You’ll end up with too many DIY tasks and an overstuffed timeline that will create more stress than happy moments.
It’s best to pick three design elements and three day-of moments you can’t live without and then work with your wedding planner to fill out the rest.
What is a dream wedding venue or city you’d love to work in?
As a lover of literature and the Florida Keys, the Hemingway Home remains at the top of my list! Within Virginia, I’d also love to do a wedding at Dover Hall or Clifton Inn.
