Timeless Historic Yates Mill County Park Engagement Photos Raleigh
Have I ever mentioned how much I love Raleigh? Well, I definitely do! I always feel incredibly lucky to come out and photograph such sweet couples, but especially when it’s in my favorite city! For Alex and Nicole’s Historic Yates Mill County Park engagement session we headed to the picturesque park and just started exploring!
Fun Fact: The Yates Mill is one of the oldest buildings in Wake County, North Carolina and is the region’s only surviving operable gristmill. For nearly 200 years the water-powered mill produced lumber, milled corn and wheat, and carded wool. It’s also the perfect backdrop for an engagement session!
We spent our afternoon exploring the Historic Yates Mill County Park engagement gorgeous park and stopping for photos in various spots around the lake. Although we didn’t get to take in all 174 acres of the Historic Yates Mill County Park, we did do our fair share of walking! Nicole looked absolutely radiant in a cream romper that seemed to be made just for her. She also made walking in lace-up heels look effortless! Alex looked quite dapper as well in his blue button down shirt and khakis.
After chatting our way through the park we stumbled upon the modern visitors center, which is where we wrapped up their Historic Yates Mill County Park engagement session. We truly could not have found a better spot for their photos and I am so excited for their wedding next spring!
