Creating a Brand with Allison Lancaster

Allison Lancaster is a business coach, educator, Pinterest guru, and boss babe who really knows how to stand out from the crowd. In everything she does, she strives to empower her clients to live out their dreams and grow their businesses. She took her passion for blogging and turned it into a business that has been featured in places like Forbes, TODAY show, Motherly, and Huffington Post! I was so thrilled to work with Allison for her Johnson City branding photos because I actually work with her for my own business!

BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY GOALS

Allison was super clear about wanting her brand photos to be fun, colorful, and unique. She wanted her personality to really shine through. Her plan was to use these photos for her website and on social media, so she wanted them to really pop. It was a priority to capture her in all forms from beginning to end, as well as some lifestyle photos of her in the beautiful kitchen at Cherokee Creek Farm, some with her #bossbabe car, and her designer bags!

PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOSHOOT PROCESS

We decided to do Allison Lancaster’s brand photo shoot at Cherokee Creek Farm just outside of Johnson City, Tennessee. With so many outfits and ideas, it was best to have one location that offered the variety we needed. We started in the stunning bridal suite upstairs with some professional shots. We then proceeded to take photos in nearly every room of the house!

THE RESULTS

Cherokee Creek Farm is full of high ceilings, bright neutral colors, and southern charm so when paired with her colorful outfits and props, we achieved a look that was bright enough to stand out, without her photos clashing against each other. This way, she could use her photos for social media and on her website without distracting the viewer.

Allison has been able to implement her photos in her social media posts, blogs, and more. She is the perfect example of something I tell my clients all the time: When building a personal brand, brand photos are crucial.
