Incredible Waterstone Venue in Johnson City

The Waterstone Venue in Johnson City, Tennessee

Venue Overview

Have you been looking for one of the most unique wedding venues in all of Johnson City, TN? You’ve finally met your match! The Waterstone Venue is one of the Asheville area’s most unique outdoor wedding venues. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature and scenery you’ll find in Asheville, this wedding venue is definitely one to check out! This Waterstone venue prides itself on preserving this stunning spot with environmentally friendly construction and designs so it can stay as beautiful as mother nature intended it to be.

Featuring breathtaking views of ponds, waterfalls, cliffs, and trees for miles, this Johnson City wedding venue sets the stage for your dream wedding! If you imagined yourself getting married while being surrounded by beautiful views and organic greenery, this is the place to do it!

What Makes this Venue So Special?

When it comes to planning every detail of your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect and feel like it fits your personality. The great thing about this wedding venue is that you can tailor it to fit any style. Whether you like rustic and farmhouse, or you want a black-tie wedding, this venue can make sure it fits your style for your special day.

One of the biggest things that makes this Johnson City wedding venue so special is that there are so many unique details that you wouldn’t notice right away. For example, when you are in the ‘tree house’ building on the property, the ceiling is completed made up of reclaimed wooden doors. This is such a special and unique touch, and it’s definitely something you don’t see everywhere. It’s the little things like this that make this wedding venue so special!

Natural beauty is something that not every venue in Asheville has. Yes, I think all wedding venues are beautiful and have their own charm, but not all of them are naturally breathtaking. The Waterstone venue features some of the most amazing, nature-made creations. To start, the waterfall that you can say your “I dos” in front of is one of the most picturesque things I’ve ever seen. You can simply set up an archway and chairs right in front of it, and you’ll have the world’s most beautiful photo backdrop. Another feature on this property is the hobbit house where you can spend the morning getting ready with your party. The little house is literally an underground room that has full windows in the front. Feel like you’re in the hobbit movie while you spend the morning with your boys or your girls!

Lastly, I love that the Waterstone venue has on-site bridal and groom suites. This makes the morning of your wedding so much easier. You have one location to get ready, and the suites here are picture perfect!

Get Married at The Waterstone Venue

When it comes to Johnson City wedding venues, The Waterstone Venue is definitely one for the books! Featuring some of the Asheville area’s most breathtaking views and natural elements, this wedding venue is sure to make your special day as perfect as you dreamed it would be!

When we arrived at the venue for Coco and Sam’s wedding day, we walked around and immediately saw all of the beautiful peachy, boho, decor that Coco, her planner, Hannah Ringley, and her florist, Susan Liles, designed for their day! We stopped by the treehouse to say hi to Sam and then made our way to the hobbit house where Coco and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Once Sam and Coco were both ready, we captured a sweet father first look (which I always love!) and an even sweeter first look with her soon-to-be husband, Sam. After some quick portraits, we all headed to the ceremony site where Coco’s handmade wooden arch greeted us. At the end of the ceremony, a cloud came directly overhead and dropped a small handful of raindrops— just enough to spread some good luck for these newlyweds and shield the sun for a moment! Thankfully though–it didn’t stick around for the first kiss!

hi, i'm danielle—

In the past 10+ years as a Wedding & Portrait Photographer, I’ve found that, aside from arming myself with my cameras to catch swoon-worthy moments of my couples on their day, I’m also bringing a few other unexpected things.

Like my tough love mom-voice that will keep your bridal party in check, my air of calm if you’re feeling overwhelmed, and the corniest jokes so no one has the jitters in front of the camera!

Because so much more goes into getting those gorgeous wedding photos than just hitting “click!”

and I'm not just bringing my camera to your big day.

Wanna know what you need for
