Located on Boone Lake in Piney Flats, this venue is private and features panoramic views of the lake. It’s a newer venue in East Tennessee, but its gorgeous waterfront view and its upscale farmhouse feel have helped it quickly become one of the most popular venues in the area.
The thing I love the most about this venue is the history behind it. The house on the property has been there for ages – seeing many different renovations, its most recent renovation being within the last year. I can just imagine the story and memories that took place inside these walls, and it’s truly amazing how such an old building can look so beautiful and host such memorable events.

This venue is ideal if you want a modern and sophisticated venue that also has touches of rustic and farmhouse features. Fully renovated and updated, this historic building is the perfect combination of new and old. As a wedding photographer, the thing I love about it the most is how much thought went into the design of the venue. The owners hand selected the decor and elements that went into this Johnson City wedding venue.
There is a tiled grass lawn upon entrance to the venue, which makes the perfect backdrop for those summer cocktail hours! Inside there is a custom built wooden bar that truly adds to the sophistication of groomsmen photos. The hardwood floor was preserved and refinished and the ceiling tiles look like they’ve been plucked from an Italian villa! The aesthetic is the number one thing that drew me to The Lakehouse!
2. Available spaces & amenities
Not only is The Lakehouse venue beautiful, but it also has a lot of amenities and spaces available to make your dream wedding come true. With this venue, you will have exclusive access to their 22 acres of beautifully kept grounds, in addition to the beautiful 3500 sq ft lake house. You’ll be able to take photos in a number of different locations across the property, which is a wedding photographer’s playground! Before your wedding day, you can spend the morning sipping mimosas and feasting on charcuterie at the brand new bridal cottage that has been added to the property! You will also have access to table rentals, linens, photo sessions, suites, and more.
3. Package & pricing flexibility
The best part about The Lakehouse? Definitely the price! In larger metropolitan areas you’d be looking at upwards of $10,000 a weekend for a venue as inclusive as this one! But, depending on the time of year, you could book this dream Johnson City wedding venue for as low as $3,500. That leaves so much room in the budget for things like, wedding photography and incredible florals!
