3 Tips For The Best Wedding Photos at The Magnolia Venue

The Magnolia Venue in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

So, you’ve decided to have your wedding at The Magnolia Venue, or maybe it’s a top venue on your list of contenders. Whatever the case may be, you clearly are looking at having a wedding at The Magnolia Venue. Lucky for you, I’m here to help guide you and provide you the inside scoop on all things The Magnolia wedding venue!

Who am I, you ask? I’m a well-known Tennessee photographer with tons of experience shooting weddings at The Magnolia Venue. I want to make sure you have the best wedding photos yet, so let’s get right into it!

1. A patio pic to light your soul on fire!

If you don’t get a photo of you and your honey on the patio at The Magnolia Venue, you are not doing it right! The patio is known as the Ceremony Patio, and it overlooks Mount Le Conte. When you step onto the patio, you feel like you’re on top of the world.

You and your wedding best paired with the deep, forest green backdrop of The Great Smoky Mountains will result in the coolest, chicest photos you’ve ever seen. It’s the perfect spot to snap some moody, editorial shots. Just you wait!

2. A grassy knoll for that ethereal vibe.

The Magnolia wedding venue boasts this epic, semi-private knoll area that offers truly breathtaking photo ops. The patchy knoll is lined with trees, mossy rocks, and grand views of the Smoky Mountains. A stone-lined walkway brings you to the top of the knoll, and at golden hour, the colors just POP.

I love this spot for a sweet, enchanted first look. I smile thinking back to the couples I’ve photographed at this knoll! Swoon!

3. The Grand Hall is nothing short of majestic.

Most photographers overlook the reception and dance floor photos, but not this photographer (me!). I am always thinking about how to capture those moments in the best way. Lucky for me, The Magnolia wedding venue makes it super easy on me by offering the Grand Hall for couples’ receptions.

This breathtaking indoor-outdoor reception hall overlooks the dense, mountainous forest and features raw, wooden walls and ceilings. Plus, it has floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook tall trees–what a stunner! It truly makes my job so easy with a backdrop like this. It allows me to simply focus on the memories of the night, capturing them with great care and attention to detail.

Now that you’ve got your venue, what’s next?

hi, i'm danielle—

In the past 10+ years as a Wedding & Portrait Photographer, I’ve found that, aside from arming myself with my cameras to catch swoon-worthy moments of my couples on their day, I’m also bringing a few other unexpected things.

Like my tough love mom-voice that will keep your bridal party in check, my air of calm if you’re feeling overwhelmed, and the corniest jokes so no one has the jitters in front of the camera!

Because so much more goes into getting those gorgeous wedding photos than just hitting “click!”

and I'm not just bringing my camera to your big day.
